Juanita York

Juanita York, age 76, of Bartlesville, Oklahoma died Thursday, November 28, 2013 at the Bartlesville Community Rehabilitation.

Celebration of Life Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, December 2, 2013 at the FordWulfBruns Chapel with the Reverend Joe Brooks officiating. Burial will follow in the Calvary Cemetery under the direction of the FordWulfBruns Chapel.

Visitation hours will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., Monday, December 2, 2013 at the FordWulfBruns Chapel in Coffeyville, Kansas.

The family has suggested memorials to the River of Life Tabernacle and contributions may be left at the FordWulfBruns Chapel.

Juanita York was born August 6, 1937 in Coffeyville, Kansas to Jose H. and Manuela Mendoza Rodriguez. She grew up in Coffeyville, Kansas and attended schools in Coffeyville. Juanita worked for several different nursing homes before going to work for ARC Industries in Bartlesville, Oklahoma as a care giver for special needs. Juanita loved to cook and was well known for her tortillas.

On December 31, 1986 Juanita married Richard York in Coffeyville, Kansas where the couple made their home. They later moved to Copan, Oklahoma before moving to Bartlesville, Oklahoma.

Survivors include husband Richard of the home three sons Cecil LaFon of Warsaw, Missouri, Joe LaFon of Coffeyville, Kansas and George Nalley of Beaumont, Texas one daughter Sheri Conn of Coffeyville, Kansas two brothers Tony Rodriguez of Coffeyville and John Rodriguez of Indiana 14 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
