Judy Ann Green, 62, formerly of Coffeyville, Kansas, died Monday afternoon, December 14, 2009 at the home of her daughter, Janell, in Nixa, Missouri. Judy was born August 20, 1947 at Parsons, Kansas to Fred Tucker and Hattie Davis Tucker. She grew up and began her education in Parsons. Judy married Ernest Colbert and five children were born to this union. The couple lived in Lenapah, Oklahoma before moving to Coffeyville. The couple would later
orce and Judy later married Otis Green. The Greens continued to make Coffeyville their home, but also
orced. Judy lived in Coffeyville until moving to her sons home in Lees Summit, Missouri earlier this year. She recently moved to Nixa to live with her daughter until her death. Judy was a member of Coffeyvilles Church of God in Christ. She was an avid Bingo player and was a regular at both Holy Name and the Eagles Lodge. Judy was instilled with a great work ethic that she passed on to her family. She worked in housekeeping for Coffeyville Regional Medical Center for over 30 years. Judy was known for being a good friend, who made people laugh and everyone knew where they stood with her. Survivors include one daughter, Janell Colbert of Nixa; four sons, Ernest L. Colbert, Jr. of Olathe, KS, Sylvester Eugene Colbert of Raytown, MO, William Edward Colbert and his wife, Cindy of Lees Summit and Bryant L. Colbert of Hutchinson, KS; her ex-husband, Otis of Ft. Smith, AR; ten grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, on the way; several nieces and nephews and a host of friends. Funeral service will be 11 a.m., Saturday, December 19, 2009 at Coffeyvilles Calvary Baptist Church with Rev. Eugene Colbert officiating. Interment will be in Coffeyvilles Fairview Cemetery, under the direction of Penwell-Gabel Ford-Wulf-Bruns Chapel. Friends may call at the funeral home, Friday, 9 am- 8 pm and her family will be on hand to receive friends from 6-8 pm.
