Julia Englund

Julia Ann Englund, 79, of Parsons, Kansas died Sunday, January 10, 2010 at Good Samaritan Nursing Center in Parsons, Kansas. She was born May 16, 1930 in Chanute, Kansas to Floyd Englund and Thelma Mitchell. Julia attended school in Coffeyville, Kansas and was active in the Girl Scouts. She worked for WalMart in Coffeyville and after retiring volunteered for the Coffeyville Regional Medical Center Auxilliary. She was quite proud of that service work. Julia was a member of and was active in Emmanuel Southern Baptist Church in Coffeyville. Her greatest vocation was being a loving wife, mother, aunt, cousin, sister and friend. She is survived by daughters: Sharon Cook of Coffeyville, Patricia Morrison of Raymore, Missouri,Cathy Sanders of Coffeyville, and sister Frances Hufford of Texas, grandchildren: Lisa LaFalier, Kim Elliott, Tommy Mitchell, Andy cook and Michael Smith, nine greatgrandchildren and two greatgreat grandchildren. Julia was preceded in death by two older brothers. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to Emmanuel Baptist Church of Coffeyville. Funeral services for Julia Ann Englund will be held on Friday, January 15, 2010 at 10:00 AM at Emmanuel Baptist Church in Coffeyville, Kansas. Interment will follow at Restlawn Cemetery in Coffeyville. Friends may call at PenwellGabel Funeral Home in Coffeyville on Thursday, January 14, from 1:00PM until 8:00PM.
