Mrs. June L. France 1922-2005 Mrs. June L. France, age 82, passed away late Tuesday evening, June 14, 2005 at her home in South Coffeyville, Oklahoma. She was born October 27, 1922 in Treece, Kansas to Joe and Jane Crites Dewolf. They later moved to Pitcher, Oklahoma. She received her schooling in the Pitcher and Commerce, Oklahoma areas. She married Ernest France on September 28, 1940 in Commerce, Oklahoma. Mr. and Mrs. France moved to California in 1941 where they both worked in the shipyards. They moved back to Miami, Oklahoma in 1945, then later to South Coffeyville in 1947. He preceded her in death on December 18, 1967. After her husbands death, she worked for the Dairy Queen in Coffeyville, Kansas. She later worked for Butchers Grocery Store in South Coffeyville, Oklahoma and worked there until she retired. She was also a homemaker. She is survived by a daughter, Cheryl France-Lee and her husband John of Wichita, Kansas; two grandsons, Ernie Kuehn of Delaware, Oklahoma and Andrew Kuehn of Wichita, Kansas; four brothers, Robert Dewolf of Hopewell, Virginia, Charles Buck Hobbs of South Coffeyville, Oklahoma, Albert Weathers of Bartlesville, Oklahoma and Jack Weathers of Oolagah, Oklahoma; two sisters, Ruth Mehl of Dearing, Kansas and Darlene Elam of LaCyne, Kansas. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Ernest, one brother and three sisters. Calling hours will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, June 16, 2005 at Penwell-Gabel Ford-Wulf-Bruns Chapel, 2405 Woodland Ave., Coffeyville, Kansas. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, June 17, 2005 at Penwell-Gabel Ford-Wulf-Bruns Chapel, 2405 Woodland Ave., Coffeyville, Kansas. Pastor Tim Bauer of the New Foundations Church of Wichita, Kansas will be officiating. Burial will follow at Penwell-Gabel Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Coffeyville. In lieu of flowers, the family has suggested memorial contributions to the Jane Phillips Hospice. These remembrances may be left with the funeral home.
