Karen Sue Baldwin Argo was born in 1941 when her family lived in Iraan, Texas, and was called home to her Lord and Savior on October 10, 2018 at the age of 77.
A graduate of North Texas State University, she taught High School Mathematics and English in St. Charles, Missouri, and Sanford, Florida, before beginning a 26 year career with the Union Pacific Railroad. During her railroad career she lived and worked in diverse locations to include: Brownsville, Texas; Corpus Christi, Texas; Coffeyville, Kansas; Osawatomie, Kansas; Stockton, California; Cheyenne, Wyoming; and finally Omaha, Nebraska; where she settled upon retirement.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Connie Baldwin and her sister Cheryl Dixon. She is survived by her son, Scott Argo of Omaha, Nebraska; her brother, Chuck Baldwin, of Abilene, Texas; her brother and sister-in-law, Bill and Karen Baldwin of Delaware, Oklahoma; and her brother-in-law, Gerald Dixon, of Chattanooga, Tennessee. She is also survived by her nieces, Melissa Koch, Michelle Howell, and Rachel Irwin, as well as her nephews, Jon Dixon, Timothy Dixon, Charlie Baldwin, Billie Baldwin, Josh Baldwin, and Caleb Baldwin.
Her infectious smile, amazing sense of humor, and the beautiful music she produced on the organ will be greatly missed.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 17, 2018 at Ford-Wulf-Burns Chapel 2405 Woodland Ave. Coffeyville, KS 67337 at 11:00am. Interment will immediately follow at Fairview Cemetery. Friends are invited to sign the register and greet the family on Tuesday, October 16, 2018 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at the Chapel. In place of flowers, memorials may be sent to Back to the Bible Ministries PO Box 82808 Lincoln, NE 68501-2808 or left in care of the Chapel.
