Obituary Karen Marie Hamil Coffeyville resident Karen Marie Hamil died Thursday, November 16, 2006 in Independence. She was 47. She was born March 21, 1959 in Coffeyville to Norman Chester and Lillie Marie Toy Tosh. She grew up near Coffeyville and later attended Tri County Technology School. She graduated in 1998 from the nursing program and became a Licensed Practical Nurse. She was a LPN for eight and a half years. She worked in the Coffeyville area most of her career. Survivors include Sons Josh Sykes of Nowata and Danny Grossman, Jr. of Fort Worth, TX, daughters, Desery Drake of Nowata, Danette Grossman of Forest Grove, OR., Kristi Grossman of Coffeyville, and Linda Chishom of Fort Drum, NY. The grandchildren are Cherokee, Tanner, Skyler, and Gunner Sykes, Shiloh and Caleb Drake, Aubrey and Brook Grossman and Sequoyah Chishom; brothers, Orville Tosh of Broken Arrow, Rick Tosh of Independence, and Stoney Tosh of Coffeyville; sisters, Sherry Brown and Jane Rogers both of Coffeyville and Terry Sutton of Newkirk, Oklahoma; step-brothers are Jim and Jack Wishall of Coffeyville and Jerry Wishall of McCormick, South Carolina, Joe Wishall of Topeka, Jay Wishall of Derby, Ed Wishall of Harrisonville, MO; step-sisters are, Mary Wishall of Gardner, Donna Hoover of Coffeyville and Patti Jones of Lenapah, OK. She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters, Jackie OBrian and Frances Collins, a brother Chester Tosh and her step-father John Wishall. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, November 21, 2006 at the Veterans Memorial Patio at Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Penwell-Gabel Ford-Wulf-Bruns Funeral Home. Pastor David Bycroft will officiate. Friends may call on Sunday, November 19, 2006 from 1 PM until 9 PM and on Monday, November 22, 2006 from 9 AM until 9 PM at the funeral home to sign the guest register.
