Karon Dozier

Karon Faye Dozier of Coffeyville, KS passed away Friday, October 29, 2010 at Windsor Place in Coffeyville. She was 69. Karon was born February 18, 1941 in Coffeyville, KS to Dale and Mary Benning Beam. She grew up in Coffeyville where she graduated from Field Kindley High School. After high school she was united in marriage to Stiner Lee Dozier on September 6, 1959. He preceded her in death March 7, 1997. Karon was a home maker she loved taking care of her children. She would walk the kids to and from school every day, and was there for all of their activities and games. She was a former member of the Eastern Star and enjoyed bowling in her younger days. Karon was a member of the First Southern Baptist Church in Coffeyville. Her parents were charter members of the church along with two other couples. She is survived by her daughters, Sandy Carinder and husband, Mark of Cherryvale, KS, Misty Dozier of Coffeyville, Kansas brother, Bob Beam and wife, Cheryl of Grove, OK sister, Donna Dozier and husband, Ed of Shawnee, OK grandchildren, Josh Baker of Pittsburg, KS, Jacob Baker of Coffeyville, KS, Kelsey Baker of Edna, Kansas, Jordan Carinder and Seth Carinder both of Cherryvale, KS. She was preceded in death by her parents, Dale and Mary Beam loving husband, Stiner Lee Dozier sons, Bobby and Ricky Dozier and a daughter, Julie Baker. A Graveside service will be held on Tuesday, November 2, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at the Veterans Patio at Fairview Cemetery in Coffeyville. Reverend Susan Brown will officiate. Friends may call on Monday, November 1, 2010 from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at PenwellGabel FordWulfBruns Chapel in Coffeyville to sign the guest register.
