Kenneth Crisp

God saw that Kenneth C. Crisp was getting tired at the age of 92 and ready to go home, Jesus welcomed him home on May 9, 2018. Kenneth had been receiving care at Windsor Place in Coffeyville, Kansas.
Kenneth C. was the son of Roy and Katherine (Adair) Crisp of Nowata, Oklahoma he was born on June 23, 1925. Kenneth attended school in Nowata also graduating from Nowata High School. After graduation Kenneth proudly enlisted in the US Army here he proudly served until he was honorably discharged. Kenneth met the love of his life after returning home from the service. On December 12, 1947 he married Florence Andrews, of that union one daughter Nancy Jo was born. Together they shared 65 years of marriage, Florence preceded him in death on October 6, 2011.

Kenneth was a member of the Emmanuel Southern Baptist Church, Masonic Lodge, SEK Vocal Cancer Club where he served in several capacities in each. He worked at EXERN Dodge until the business closed, Junges Bread Company, Funk Manufacturing now known as John Deere until he retired with 35 years of service, he also help run patterns at Morrow Foundry part time. Kenneth loved life, he was a cancer survivor, and he never let cancer slow him down. He loved to fish, hunt, flower gardening, vegetable gardening, and canning his harvest, making some of the best Apple Butter around. Most importantly Kenneth would want to be known for loving his Lord, his wife and his family. You see family was important to him, always willing to take a minute, to truly spend with them in conversation or time spent together, may also have included watching his Chicago Cubs in a game of baseball or KU Basketball.

Kenneth will be remembered most by his daughter who has cared for her Dad every step of the way, Nancy Jo McDaniel Crisp, grandson, David McDaniel and his wife Dianna of Bartlesville, Oklahoma; great granddaughters, Breana and Christina McDaniel; sister, Velma Morgan of Kansas City, Missouri; and a host of extended family and friends. He is also resting now with, his wife, Florence; grandson, Christopher McDaniel; brother, Carl Crisp; sisters, Freeda DeMoss and Jane Doan.

Funeral services celebrating the life of Kenneth will be held on Tuesday, May 15, 2018 at 2 pm at Ford-Wulf-Bruns Chapel with retired Pastor Conn Davis officiating. Full military honors will be provided by Coffeyville VFW and American Legion at Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery following the service. The family will receive friends at the chapel on Monday, May 14, 2018 from 6 to 8pm. The family has suggested memorial contributions be made payable to Windsor Place of Coffeyville-Activity Fund, contributions may be left in care of the chapel.
