Judge Kenneth D. David 1929 - 2006 Kenneth Donald David, 76, of Parsons, Kansas died April 15, 2006, Saturday, at 12:21 a.m. at ElmHaven West, where he had been a resident since March 21, 2006. Kenneth was born August 20, 1929 in Arkansas City, Kansas to Floyd and Edna Wommack David. He grew up in Coffeyville, Kansas where he attended Coffeyville schools. Ken moved to Wichita, Kansas where he worked at Boeing until 1963. He then moved to Topeka where he attended Washburn University obtaining his Juris Doctorate of Law. He moved to Independence, Kansas in 1968 where he became County Attorney and was elected to Probate and Juvenile Judge. He later served as Administrative District Court Judge for Montgomery County until he resigned his position in 1988. Ken belonged to the Keystone Masonic Lodge, The Scottish Rite of Free Masonry and the Mirza Shriners. On October 27, 1951 he married Martha Louise Taylor of Wichita, Kansas. They later
orced. Survivors include a daughter, Lynn Mowder of Altamont, Ks.; two brothers, Gerald David of Independence, Ks.; Harold David of Rapid City, SD.; one sister, Dorothy Pat Davies of Tulsa, Ok. Two grandchildren, Christopher and Karen Mowder both of Altamont, Ks. Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents, his twin brother, Keith David and his son, Jeffery Paul David. Cremation has taken place and Graveside Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, April 22, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. in the Penwell-Gabels Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Coffeyville, Kansas. Family and friends will gather at the gravesdie prior to services. Wayne Mason of Harry Hynes Hospice of Parsons, Kansas will be officiating. There will be no calling hours or visitation. Memorial contributions may be given to the Harry Hynes Hospice of Parson, Ks. or Shriners Hospital for Children. co Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home.
