Larry Duane Halliburton, 54, Coffeyville, Kansas died Sunday, January 25, 2009 at his home. Larry was born June 10, 1954 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Hayden T. Halliburton and Mildred L. Hudson Halliburton. At age five, the Halliburtons moved to California and Larry began his education there. At 13, Larrys family moved back to Oklahoma and he later moved to Coffeyville during his high school years. Larry was a 1972 graduate of Coffeyvilles Field Kindley High School. Shortly after graduation, Larry began working for the Co-op Refinery. He married Terry Hood in 1977 and the couple had three beautiful daughters. During their 23-year marriage, the couple were owners of Heartland Motors of Coffeyville, Kansas. For the past 10 years, Larry had been a wholesale car buyer for Five Star Auto Sales in Coffeyville and Mel Hambelton Ford of Wichita, Kansas. Larry was a member of the National Rifle Association and enjoyed playing mens and co-ed softball. He played raquetball and coached his girls T-ball teams. Larry liked cars and always owned motorcycles and enjoyed trips to Sturgis on his Harley. He was also a gadget guy when it came to owning the latest electronics, cell phones and computers. Survivors include three daughters, Kristin Halliburton and her fiance, Brian Bookwalter of Manhattan, Kansas, Kelly Munoz and her husband, Carl, currently of Houston, Texas and Kimberly Halliburton of Tulsa, Oklahoma; a brother, Gary Halliburton and his wife, Pam of Coffeyville; one sister, Karen Norris and her husband, Greg of Dewey, Oklahoma; a granddaughter, Ella Renae Halliburton of Tulsa, Oklahoma, his ex-wife and mother of his girls, Terry Dietz of Tulsa; stepmother, Madge Halliburton of Bartlesville, Oklahoma; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews. He is also survived by a companion, Victoria Hodges of Coffeyville. He was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral service will be held at 10AM, Saturday, January 31, 2009 at Penwell-Gabel Ford-Wulf-Bruns Chapel. A wake will follow services at Five Star Auto Sales, 801 W. 11th. Friends may call at the funeral home, Friday, 9AM-8PM and family will receive friends from 6-8PM.
