Lawrence Larry H. Wheeler, Jr. 66, of Coffeyville, Kansas passed away on Tuesday, February 25, 2014 at CRMC.
Larry was born on September 13, 1947 in Queens, New York to Lawrence H. and Lottie M. Schwenzfeger Wheeler. He grew up in Queens where he received his high school education. He then moved to Freeport, New York where he served his country in the United States Navy. Larry was very proud of his service. On October 9, 1975 he was united in marriage to Roberta Cook. Of that union four children were born. Roberta preceded him in death on January 8, 2004.
Larry worked over the road driving trucks. He worked for two very special friends, Paul Bishop and Gayle Shyrock. He belonged to the BTW Bikers of the Third Wheel and was nicknamed Thunderroad. He loved riding his trike with many friends and family. On July 23, 2007 he was united in marriage to Jeanne Weber, she survives of the home.
In addition to his wife Jeanne, he is also survived by his children, Freddie Cook and wife, Janet of Wann, Oklahoma, Wayne Cook and wife, Shann of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Matt Cook Gaska and wife, Paula of Bartlesville, Oklahoma, Fawn Burchett and husband, Max of Bartlesville, Oklahoma six grandchildren step children, Karla Roeder and husband, Tim of Coffeyville, Kansas, Tereasa Ruark of South Coffeyville, Oklahoma, Christina Pinnock and husband, Charles of St. Lucia, Johnny Weber of Devils Lake, North Dakota, James Weber of Coffeyville, Kansas, a special greatgranddaughter, Brealyn Weber and his nephews, Robert and Scott Borst of Bartlesville, Oklahoma. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Robert and a grandson, Michael Cook.
Cremation has taken place under the direction of FordWulfBruns Chapel in Coffeyville, Kansas.
