Leonard Eugene Mason, Sr. 1955 2007 Independence, Kansas resident, Leonard Eugene Mason, Sr. entered into eternal rest on May 10, 2007 at the St. John Medical Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He was 52. He was born January 3, 1955 in Coffeyville, Kansas to Harold Eugene and Donnie Lee Bradshaw Mason. Leonard served in the United States Armed Forces entering in 1973 at Ft. Leonardwood, Missouri. He was honorably discharged 1977 in Fort Hood, Texas. Leonard and Delores and family returned to Coffeyville after serving in the Military. On January 9, 1976 he married Delores Scroggins in Killeen, Texas. She survives of the home. He was employed with Funk Manufacturing of Coffeyville for the past 29 years as a Material Handler. He was planning his retirement in 2008. He is survived by his wife Delores Mason of the home; two daughters, Julie Schooley of Kenney, Illinois; Christie Blevins of Independence, Kansas; two sons, Leonard E. Mason, Jr. of Dearing, Kansas; Chad Mason of the home; Father and Mother, Harold and Donnie Mason of Tyro, Kansas. Five grandsons and three granddaughters. One sister, Becky Elder of Coffeyville, Kansas; two brothers, Larry Mason of Coffeyville, Kansas amp; Mark Mason, Tyro, Kansas. His hobbies include hunting, fishing and his family. Leonard was a loving husband, son, father, grandfather amp; brother he had many friends and he will be deeply missed. Cremation has taken place and a Memorial Service will be held 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 16, 2007 at the Southview Church of God, South Coffeyville, Oklahoma. Rev. John Lockaby will be officiating.
