Lessie Maye Banks-Fullard, 91, of Coffeyville, Kansas passed away on Sunday, April 12, 2015 at CRMC.

Lessie was born September 9, 1923 in Haynesville, Louisiana to Rudolph Banks and Rosie (Burns) Banks.

She married Tim Johnson and of that union two children were born, Robert Johnson and Nellie (Nell) Johnson-Grant. The couple later divorced.

Lessie married Peter Troy Fullard and of that union there were six children and one step child.
She accepted Christ and united at Sardis Baptist Church. She worked as an usher for 50 years under Reverend Horn. She was a prayer warrior and prayed for everyone she could think of. She will always be remembered for her delicious peach cobblers she would make.

Lessie was preceded in death by her parents, Rudolph and Rosie; loving husband, Peter Fullard; sister, Frances Banks-Hall; brother, Hover Banks; sister, Lenora Banks-Leary; brothers, Frank Banks and JW Banks and by her step son, Henry T. Fullard.

She leaves family and friends to cherish her precious memories: son, Robert Johnson (Marie); daughter, Nellie (Nell) Grant (Al); daughter, Betty Jackson (Davie); son, Frank Fullard (Hesterlee); son, Lester Fullard (Anitries); Arnold Fullard; daughter, Linda Fullard-Barins (Joe Lee), sisters, Mary Rosborough, Pauline Carey, Betty Dorsey (James), Lola Carter and Thelma Banks; brothers, George Banks and Richard Banks; and a special niece, Evelyn Davison. Lessie, Evelyn and Nellie stayed in prayer for family and friends every Tuesday morning, and a host of grand kids, great grand kids and great great grand kids, nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, April 18, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at the St John Baptist Church in Coffeyville, Kansas. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday, April 17, 2015 from 10:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Ford-Wulf-Bruns Chapel in Coffeyville. The family will greet friends on Friday evening at the funeral home from 6-8 p.m. Final viewing will be held from 9am-10am on Saturday at the Church.
