Letrechia “Pat” DeMott age 87 passed away on January 8, 2022 at her home with her daughter at her side in Bernice, OK.
Pat was born on December 6, 1934 in Valeda, KS to Emery C and Mary Lee (Pierce) Woollard. She was raised in the Valeda area and attended local schools and graduated from Altamont High School. After high school she met Rube Edmond Kerns and the couple was united in marriage in February of 1952 and they were blessed with a daughter Brenda, the couple later divorced. In November of 1965 she was united in marriage to Robert DeMott Jr and welcomed three more children from that union. Pat found employment with Dr. Terry Thompson’s Office and then Coffeyville Community College. She enjoyed crappie fishing, ceramics where she spent countless hours making her own Christmas village, and bowling. She absolutely loved bowling and she won many trophies, but it was more than trophies and the game; she loved going to tournaments, spending time with her team and them out to the lake. Pat loved her family, some of her best times would be her 4th of July get-togethers on the lake watching fireworks.
Pat’s memories will live on with her children; Brenda Palmer, Cheryl Emery, Karen Handshumaker, and Robert Hugh DeMott his wife Jean, her sister Jenene Russell her husband Richard, and grandchildren; Clayton Emery Palmer his fiancé Heather, Suzie Ussery her husband Jeff, Tim DeMott his wife Belinda and many others as well as great-grandchildren.
She now rests with her parents, her husband Robert, and brother Phillip “Gene” Woollard.
