Lila Henry

Lila Loe Henry, age 94, died August 31, 2010 at the Medicalodge Nursing home in Dewey,Oklahoma. Mrs. Henry was born March 1, 1916 at Valeda, Kansas, to Albert and Grace Livingston Neville. Attended Valeda grade school, graduated from the Labette County High School, in Altamont, Kansas. Was a first string basket ball player, loved ridding horses, and Ice skating. After graduating from High School, she found work at the Legionville Preventorium, west of Coffeyville. This was a home for underprivileged children. She married Roy E. Loe they lived on a farm west of South Coffeyville, Oklahoma. She served on the Wright School board, taught Sunday School class, and served as a P.T.A. officer. She was a member of the Coffeyville Bible Church. Mr. Loe died September 3, 1966. She married Bob Henry 1974, in Spartanburg, S.C., making their home in Coffeyville, Ks. Mr. Henry died Nov. 4, 1983. Survivors include. Two daughters, Emily Jo, sp. Jack W. Hoffman, Bartlesville, Oklahoma and Cheryl Ann, sp. Sonny Vickery, Houston, Texas. Seven Grand children, eleven great grand children, six great great grand children, number of step children and step grandchildren. Mrs. Henry is preceded in death by her parents, an infant son, Charles Edward Loe, her two husbands, three brothers, a sister and a twin sister, and one great granddaughter. The family would welcome memorials to the Coffeyville Bible Church, Asbury Village Coffeyville, Kansas. River Cross Hospice Tulsa, Oklahoma, or Medicalodge Nursing home Dewey, Oklahoma. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, September 4, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at PenwellGabel FordWulfBruns Chapel in Coffeyville, KS. Pastor Larry Wilkes of Coffeyville Bible Church will officiate. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Coffeyville. Friends may call on Friday, September 3, 2010 from 1:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. to sign the guest register.
