Linda Sue Bruce age 64 of Coffeyville passed away due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident on September 9, 2017.
Linda was born on May 8, 1953 in Wichita, KS to Marvin Lee and Betty Sue (Sinners) Olds. Linda attended school at Truesdell in Wichita. After school Linda met and Married Michael Leroy Hansen they were blessed with a son. They made Coffeyville their home in 1970 and then the couple later divorced. Linda then was united in marriage to Philip Bruce, she gained three step-daughters from this marriage. Philip preceded Linda in death in 2011. Linda worked in housekeeping for the motel and nursing home. Linda attended the Bible Baptist Church, she was a member of the VFW Post 1022 and American Legion Post 20 and was a past member of the Women's Axillary. She enjoyed listening to live bands, going to dances, and going to casinos. She loved spending time with her friends and family. She also had an absolute passion and love for horses. Those that know Linda knew of the tremendously big heart she had. She was the friend that was always there for everyone, just one of the most loving people to her friends and family.
Those left to honor Linda's memory are her boyfriend, Daniel Long, son Michael Leroy Hansen Jr., stepdaughters, Lisa Campa, Tama Silen, and Tina Stevens, brothers; David Olds (Cheryl) and Dennis Olds, sister, Sandy Lee Jorgensen, grandchildren Amanda Hansen, Dustin Hansen, Braylee White, Philip Dunn, Johnathon Dunn, Kylie Lamb, and several other grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and several nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by her parents and late husband.
Honoring Linda's wishes, cremation under the direction of Ford-Wulf-Bruns Chapel has taken place and the family will be celebrating Linda's life on Saturday September 16, 2017 at Pfister Park at 2:00pm. The family ask that you bring a covered dish, a lawn chair, and your memories of Linda. Memorials have been suggested to Coffeyville Friends of Animals and they may be sent in care of Ford-Wulf-Bruns Chapel, 2405 Woodland Ave, Coffeyville, KS 67337.
