Linnie FranklinFrank Riley, Sr., died Thursday morning, November 18, 2010 at his home in rural Coffeyville, Kansas. Frank was born March 29, 1920 at Hollow, Oklahoma to Earl Sylvester Riley and Daisy May Riley. He grew up in the Hollow area and joined the United States Air Force. Frank married Nadine May Peirce on August 9, 1941 at Edna, Kansas. The Rileys made their home south of Edna and in Welch, Oklahoma, before moving to Coffeyville in 1954. In 1955, Frank went to work for Page Milk Co. From 198292, he worked for DampM Trucking and later owned amp operated Riley Inc. on South Walnut Street. Frank was a member of the First Assembly of God in Coffeyville, where he served as a greeter. He was a member of VFW Post 1020. Mechanic work was Franks passion, but he also enjoyed fishing and a good turkey shoot. He was a serious checker, domino and card player. Survivors are his son, Frank Riley, Jr. and his wife, Charlotte of Coffeyville one daughter, Letha Fair and her husband, Harold of Coffeyville three brothers, James A. Riley and his wife, Helen of Coffeyville, Wes Riley and his wife, Janie of Cordell, Oklahoma and Dan Riley and his wife, Helen of Adair, Oklahoma three sisters, Alta Nolte and her husband, Walt, Marie Volz and her husband, Richard and Martha Shufeldt and her husband, Carl, all of South Coffeyville, Oklahoma four grandchildren and nine greatgrandchildren. Frank was preceded in death by his parents by his wife, Nadine on November 14, 1996 by four brothers, Art, Gerald C., Earl S. and John Riley and by a sister, Anna Belle Lundin. Funeral services are 10 am, Tuesday, November 23, 2010 at PenwellGabel FordWulfBruns Chapel with interment in Coffeyvilles Restlawn Memorial Cemetery under the direction of PenwellGabel Funeral Home and Crematory. Visitation will be from 9am8pm, Monday with family receiving friends from 68pm. Those who wish may donate to the Coffeyville First Assembly of God and donations may be left at the funeral home.
