Lois Elliott

Lois Kathryn Brumback Elliott of South Coffeyville, Oklahoma went to be with the Lord on January 30, 2017 in Nowata, Oklahoma. She was born near Chelsea, Mayes County, Oklahoma to Marion Francis Brumback and Stella Catherine Kissinger on August 6, 1923. Kathryn was married to James Howard Elliott on November 4, 1939 who preceded her in death in 1997.

Kathryn is survived by a son George Howard Elliott, and spouse Georgia Mae Elliott of South Coffeyville, Oklahoma, daughter Mildred Jean Daniels and spouse Donald W. Daniels of Muldrow, Oklahoma. She is also survived by three grandsons, Kenneth Howard Elliott and spouse Donna of Coweta, Oklahoma, Richard Lee Elliott and spouse Kim of Stillwater, Oklahoma and Robb Allen Elliott of Muldrow, Oklahoma, one great-grandson Samuel Kenneth Elliott of Tahlequah, Oklahoma, great-granddaughter, Joanie LeeAnn Elliott Krege and spouse Nathian, and three great-great - grandchildren, also numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family. Kathryn was preceded in death by her husband, father, mother, one great-grandson, Dustin Wayne Elliot, sister Florance Mildred Beach, two brothers, Lawrence (Son) Raymond Brumback and Willard Francis Brumback.


Kathryn belonged to the East Side Baptist Church of South Coffeyville, Oklahoma and was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Sunrise Chapter, located in Nowata, Oklahoma. Kathryn was employed by Old Yellow Front, Sears, J.C. Penny, and Butchers all of Coffeyville, Kansas. She was later known as the "Quilting Lady" of South Coffeyville, Oklahoma. She enjoyed going to church, her family, riding horses, and sewing.

Funeral services will be on Friday February 3, 2017 at Ford-Wulf-Bruns Chapel, 2405 Woodland Ave, Coffeyville, KS 67337 at 1:30pm with Pastor Conn Davis officiating. Interment will follow at Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends are invited to sign the register and greet the family on Thursday, February 2, 2017 at Ford-Wulf-Bruns Chapel from 5:00pm to 7:00pm.
