Lola Cain

Lola Katherine Cain, 74, of Coffeyville, Kansas passed away Wednesday, March 2, 2011 at Jane Phillips Care Center of Bartlesville, Oklahoma. Lola was born August 8, 1936 in Coffeyville, Kansas to Andrew and Ruth Holmes Presgrove. She grew up in the area and graduated from Lenapah High School. Lola married Harland Lee Cain on November 27, 1958 at Coffeyville. He preceded her in death February 15, 2011. Lola was a member of Coffeyvilles First Baptist Church and the Womens Aglow bible study. She enjoyed playing the organ, cooking, crocheting, and raising her family including her cherished nieces and nephews. Lola worked for Coffeyville Transportation, was a bus driver for USD 445 and was a Sales Representative for Avon and Tupperware. Survivors include her daughter, Cathy Cain of Coffeyville brotherinlaws, Harold Cain of Dearing, KS, Howard Cain of Coffeyville, KS, Harvey Cain of Portland, OR sisterinlaw, Hermenia Woodrum of Washington niece, Teresa Presgrove and many other family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Andrew and Ruth Presgrove loving husband, Harland and brothers, James, Joe and Tommy Presgrove and niece, Christy Presgrove. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 8, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at PenwellGabel FordWulfBruns Chapel in Coffeyville. Reverends Randall Terrill and Randy DePriest officiating. Interment will be in Fawn Creek Cemetery, north of Tyro, Kansas under the direction of PenwellGabel Funeral Home. Visitation will be 10 a.m. 8 p.m., Monday, March 7, 2011 with the family receiving friends at the funeral home from 68 p.m. Memorials are suggested to the First Assembly of God Church in Coffeyville and donations may be left at the funeral home.
