Coffeyville resident, Louise Oskison, 89, passed away Friday, February 22, 2008 at CRMC. Louise was born on November 30, 1918 in Oberlin, KS, the daughter of Lewis J. and Mary Logsdon Nipper. She married AlbertSkinny Oskison on June, 28, 1937 in Independence, KS. He preceded her in death on January 18, 1993. Louise worked at JC Penney for many years, Electra Manufacturing for 9 years, Funk Manufacturing for 3 years, and Elmores IGA for 8 years. She was active in CRMC Auxiliary and was the past president of the Eagles Auxiliary. She was an excellent seamstress and loved to dance. Surviving to honor her memory are her children, Sondra LaSalle-Watts, Kay Copeland, Mary Blagg, and Jim Oskison, all of Coffeyville, KS; 12 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Leanna Pitts; grandson, Darren Copeland; brother, Jack Nipper and sister, Marilyn Johnson. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 27, 2008 at Penwell-Gabel Ford-Wulf-Bruns Funeral Home in Coffeyville, KS. Memorial contributions may be given to Tyro Christian Church Building Fund in care of the funeral home.
