Lucille Bryson of Edna, Kansas passed away Tuesday, December 16, 2008 at Windsor Place in Coffeyville, Kansas. She was 89. Lucille was born November 5, 1919 in Craig County, Oklahoma to Charles and Belle Acridge Rexwinkle. She grew up and attended Plainview Schools in Craig County. On October 24, 1936 she married Preston Jack Cook in Vinita, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death on June, 7, 1971. She was later preceded in death by two other husbands. Lucille worked at the ammunitions plant in Parsons, Kansas and also in sewing factories in Chetopa, Kansas and Miami, Oklahoma. She was baptized at an early age into the Assembly of God and attended the Elm Christian Church with her third husband. She was known asMimi to her great-grandchildren. Lucille enjoyed quilting, crafts and cooking. Most of all she loved spending time with her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchild. Surviving to honor her memory is her daughter, Elnora Jim Phillips of Lawndale, California; sisters, Darlene Clithero of Coffeyville, Kansas, Annabelle Gerdes of Edna, Kansas; brothers, Virgil Rexwinkle of South Coffeyville, Oklahoma, Billy Dean Rexwinkle, Ralph Rexwinkle of Craig County, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Christy Molnar of Sebastopol, California, Leslie Phillips-Marquez of Edna, Kansas; great-grandchildren, Nina Marquez, David Marquez, James Marquez, Belle Marquez, Arron Molnar; one great-great-grandson, Jack Marquez. She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, three brothers and four sisters. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 20, 2008 at the Cross Timbers Church in Edna, Kansas. Reverend Jack Blackwell will officiate. Burial will follow at the North Edna Cemetery in Edna, Kansas. Friends may call on Friday, December 19, 2008 from 9:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. to sign the guest register. Family will greet friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Penwell-Gabel Ford-Wulf-Bruns Chapel. Memorial contributions can be made to the charity of your choice in care of Penwell-Gabel Ford-Wulf-Bruns Chapel.
