Lucille Hanna, longtime Coffeyville, Kansas resident died Tuesday, May 27, 2008 at St. Lukes Nursing Center in Carthage, Missouri. She was 79. Lucille was born January 1, 1929 to Edwin and Metta Brakhage in Lahoma, Oklahoma where she lived for five years. The family then moved to Coffeyville, Kansas where she spent most of her life. On June 14, 1947 she was united in marriage to Lewis R. Hanna. She spent her life as a homemaker. She enjoyed spending treasured time with her family, cooking, and being involved in church activities. Surviving to honor her memory are her children, Connie Rae Bossman and husband, Clyde of Afton, OK, Donald Lee Hanna and wife, Judy of Carthage, MO, Everett Edwin Hanna and wife, Patti of Doha, Qatar and Robert Dean Hanna and wife, Lisa of Ardmore, OK, nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren and sisters, Lillian Sharp of Harrison, OH and Geneva Kehn of Sapulpa, OK. She was preceded in death by her parents; loving husband; three brothers, Rement, Everett and Marvin Brakhage and sisters, Norvella June Nicholson and Ella Miesner. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, May 31, 2008 at St. Pauls Lutheran Church in Coffeyville, Kansas, Pastor Richard Peckman and assisting Pastor James Schnackenberg will officiate. Burial will follow at Penwell-Gabels Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Coffeyville. Friends may call on Friday, May 30, 2008 from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. at the Penwell-Gabel Ford-Wulf-Bruns Chapel where her family will greet friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. that evening. The family welcomes visitors at 605 Willow. Memorial contributions can be made to St. Pauls Lutheran Church of Coffeyville, KS, The Good Shepherd Church of Carthage, MO, or to the American Lung Association; these can be left with the funeral home.
