Alma Lucille Kruschke Coffeyville resident, Lucille Kruschke entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, October 03, 2007 she was 91. Lucille was born October 04, 1915 in Busby, Kansas to Joseph A. and Iva Dell Organ Lanning. She grew up and attended school in Busby. She married Fred H. Kruschke on July 24, 1937 in Independence, Kansas. They made their home in the Longton area until 1995 when they moved to Coffeyville. Mr. Kruschke worked as a carpenter and Lucille was a homemaker. Lucille enjoyed needlework like crocheting, knitting and sewing. She made most of the families clothing throughout the years. Lucille was a member of the First Christian Church in Coffeyville. She was also a member of the Friendly Fourteen Club in Longton for many years. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Linda and Tom Kill; one grandson, Tom and Angie Kill; one grandaughter, Rebecca Kill all of Coffeyville. The great-grandchildren are, Matthew, Emily, Lauren and Abbey also of Coffeyville. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Fred in 1995, three sisters, Cleora McDonald, Addie VanBuskirk and Nell Handy; a brother, Mark Lanning. Graveside service will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, October 6, 2007 in the Oak Hill Cemetery in Elk City. Reverend J.E. Reynolds will officiate. Friends may call on Thursday from 5 pm until 9 pm and Friday 9 am until 9 pm. to sign the guest register. Memorials may be made to the First Christian Church of Coffeyville or the Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice. These may be left with the funeral home.
