Lucy White of Coffeyville passed away March 25, 2009 at Medicalodge in Coffeyville. She was 98. Lucy was born July 10, 1910 in Humboldt, Kansas to John and Cumi Span Hannah. She grew up and attended school in Humboldt. On July 6, 1934 she was united in marriage to Carl Clifton White in Coffeyville, Kansas where the couple made their home. He preceded her in death on June 4, 1987. She worked as a baker for Goldies Pie Shop for thirty years. She also worked for the Parsons Ammunition Plant and Electra in Independence, Kansas. Lucy was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star in Coffeyville and attended church at the Salvation Army. She enjoyed crocheting, crafts and loved to bake. Surviving to honor her memory is a brother, Ivan Hannah of South Coffeyville, OK; grandchildren, Butch Felton, Joyce Holiday, Susan Burkholder, Earl Longpine, Carroll Elliston, James Longpine and Marvel Lee Smith; eighteen great-grandchildren; thirty five great-great grandchildren and five great-great-great- grandchildren. She was preceded by her parents; loving husband Carl; son, James Lee Drumn; daughters, Geraldine Haymaker, Betty Jean Longpine; five brothers and a sister. A funeral service will be held Saturday, March 28, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at Penwell-Gabel Ford-Wulf-Bruns Chapel in Coffeyville. Pastor John Lockaby will officiate. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Coffeyville. Friends may call on Friday, March 27, 2009 from 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. to sign the guest register at Penwell-Gabel Ford-Wulf-Bruns Chapel.
