Mabel Bell Wiley was called home to be with her Lord on Tuesday, March 9, 2010. She was 88. Mabel was born October 24, 1921 in Dearing, Kansas to Thomas and Agnes Zawacki Raczykowski. She grew up in Dearing and later moved to Independence, Kansas, where she met the love of her life, Ralph M. Wiley. Ralph and Mabel were married in June of 1939 at Independence. The couple moved to Iola, Kansas in 1957, then to Nowata, Oklahoma, and later to Pocatello, Idaho. Ralph preceded her in death in 2004. Shortly thereafter, Mabel returned to Dearing. Mabel worked in housekeeping at a hospital in Pocatello, Idaho, retiring in the mid1980s. She was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Pocatello, and most recently attended the First Assembly of God in Independence. Surviving to honor her memory are a son, Ralph L Wiley of Dearing, Kansas a daughter, Carla Sue Kennedy of Kalamazoo, Michigan sisters Mary Franklin of Port Townsend, Washington and Martha Patchett of Idaho four grandchildren and one greatgrandchild. She was preceded in death by one son, Roger Dean Wiley, who died in 1968 in Anchorage, Alaska by one brother, Paul Raczykowski, and by one grandchild, Connie Wiley. Funeral services will be held Monday, March 15, 2010 at 10:00 a. m. at PenwellGabel FordWulfBruns Chapel, 2405 Woodland in Coffeyville, Kansas. Burial will follow at Robbins Cemetery west of Coffeyville. Friends may call on Sunday, March 14, 2010 at PenwellGabel FordWulfBruns Chapel from 1:00 until 6:00 p. m. The family suggests memorial contributions to the First Assembly of God Church in Independence in lieu of flowers. These may be left with the funeral home.
