Margaret Helen Fahler Independence resident Margaret Helen Fahler entered into eternal rest on Saturday, August 4, 2007 in Independence. She was 95. Margaret was born March 13, 1912 in Coffeyville to Lewis Francis and Mary ElizabethMamie Robinette Seaton. She moved to Edna when she was two years old. She graduated from Labette County High School in 1930. On June 10, 1934 she was married to Corydon Fahler. She attended Pittsburgh State Teachers College for two yrs. The family moved to Coffeyville in 1937 and she taught school in rural Labette County. Margaret also taught school in Hackberry Newell and Rippen Schools. She gave private piano lessons for 45 years and she retired in 1975. She was a member of the Emmanuel Baptist Church in Coffeyville and the Loyal Workers FCE Club for 52 years. She was also a member of EHU for 60 years. Survivors include her loving family, a son and daughter in-law Myron and Tresa Fahler of Independence; a daughter in-law Vi Fahler of Wichita. There are nine grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Corydon Fahler, A son Delbert Fahler, one brother and one sister. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, August 8, 2007 in the North Edna Cemetery. Reverend Marilyn Gregory will officiate. Friends may call on Monday from 12:00 PM until 9:00 PM and on Tuesday from 9 AM until 9 PM at the Penwell-Gabel Ford-Wulf-Bruns Funeral Home to sign the guest book.
