Margaret Witt

Margaret M. Witt of Coffeyville passed away Thursday, April 15, 2010 at CRMC. She was 80. Margaret was born November 16, 1929 at Pitcher, OK to Andrew C. and Ruby R. Franks Lasswell. She grew up in Granby, Missouri where she graduated high school. On August 8, 1952 she was united in marriage to Charles H. Witt the couple made their home in Parsons, KS until moving to Coffeyville in 1957. Charles was transferred with his job at Otasco to Burns Flat, Oklahoma in 1972. She returned to Coffeyville in October of 2001 after he husbands passing. Margaret was a home maker. She loved to read, gardening and embroidery. She also enjoyed playing board games, card games and most of all spending time with her grandchildren. Surviving to honor her memory are her children, Sheryl Kendrick and husband, Steven, Kathy Summers and husband, Stephen all of Coffeyville, Paula Phillips and husband, LeRoy of San Antonio, TX nine grandchildren thirteen greatgrandchildren and two greatgreatgrandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, loving husband, Charles three brothers one sister and one granddaughter. A funeral service will be held Tuesday, April 20, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at PenwellGabel FordWulfBruns Chapel in Coffeyville. Reverend Wayne Martin will officiate. Burial will follow at Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call on Monday, April 19, 2010 at the funeral home from 10:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. to sign the guest register. Family will greet friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Memorial contributions can be made to any charity of their choice.
