Marilyn King

MARILYN LOUISE KING Age 65, of Coffeyville, Kansas, passed away from complications of diabetes Sunday afternoon, August 15, 2004 at St. Johns Hospital, Joplin, Missouri. Mrs. King was born February 21, 1939 in Parsons, Kansas to Daniel M. and Louise Sterk Stroup. She attended St. Patricks Catholic School in Parsons. Marilyn was employed by Independence Day Care and was a member of Holy Name Catholic Church in Coffeyville. She is survived by: Her mother, Louise Chappell, of Coffeyville, Kansas Two sons, Rick Crandon, of Kansas City, Missouri Danny Weeks, of Topeka, Kansas One daughter, Linda Caldwell, of Parsons, Kansas Seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren. Mrs. King is preceded in death by one daughter, Susan Leanne Weeks, who died on November 1, 1987. Funeral mass will be celebrated 10 a.m., Friday, August 20, at Holy Name Catholic Church with burial in Calvary Cemetery, Coffeyville. A Rosary Service will be 7 p.m., Thursday evening, at Penwell-Gabel Ford-Wulf-Bruns Chapel. Father Mike Maybrier will be officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home Thursday, 1 until 8 p.m. The family will receive guests following the Rosary Service. Memorials may be given to Holy Name Catholic Church and may be left at the funeral home.
