Mary Colbert 1921 2007 Mary Colbert, age 85, Rural South Coffeyville, Oklahoma Resident entered into rest on Sunday, February 25, 2007 at the St. John Medical Center, Tulsa, Oklahoma. She was born May 30, 1921 in Sulfur Springs, Texas to Lester Nelson and Hallie Mae Guy Nelson. On December 20, 1943 she married Willard E. Colbert in Nowata County, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death on August 4, 1963. Mary lived most of her life as a Nowata County, Oklahoma resident. She was a homemaker and an avid gardener. Mrs. Colbert was a member of the Jehovah Witness Congregation. Mrs. Colbert is survived by her two daughters, Mary E. Colbert of South Coffeyville, Oklahoma and Verna Hutchinson and husband Herman, Vinita, Oklahoma; Three sons, Charles E. Colbert, South Coffeyville, Oklahoma; John Colbert, Parsons, Kansas; Earl Colbert of Lenapah, Oklahoma. Several grandchildren, great grandchildren amp; great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Willard E. Colbert, two sons, Jerry E. Colbert and Ernest L. Colbert; one brother, Austin Mitchell. There will be private family visitation only. Private family graveside services will be held 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, February 28, 2007 at the Hickory Creek Cemetery, North of Lenapah, Oklahoma.
