Obituary Former Coffeyville resident Mary Elizabeth Ferwalt OMeara died Friday November 3, 2006 in Kansas City, Kansas. She was 70 years old. Mary was born July 20, 1936 in Kansas City, Missouri to John E. and Frances E. Brill Ferwalt Sr. She attended Holy Name Catholic School and graduated from Field Kindley Memorial High School in 1955. She later attended Coffeyville Community College. On June 20, 1966 she married Raymond D. OMeara. The couple were married in the Holy Name Catholic Church. Over the years Mary was a homemaker and she had worked outside the home for Pepsi Cola, Coles Ready Wear, Taylor Bag Co. and Western Publishing Co. She moved to Overland Park, Kansas in 2003. Mary was a former member of the Holy Name Catholic Church, Holy Name Altar Society and Coffee Cans Campers. Most recently, she was a member of the Holy Cross Catholic Church in Overland Park, KS. Survivors include her brother John E. Ferwalt, Jr. and wife, Joyce, of Overland Park, KS; aunt, Cecilia Frewalt of Independence, MO; four nieces, Sheila Banzet and companion, Mike Ingram, of Prairie Village, KS, Katrina Paradis and her husband, Allen, of Salina, KS, Letitia Ferwalt of Olathe, KS, and Tamara Dobrzelewski and her husband, Joel, of Lansing, MI; great-nephews, Jacob Moore, Dylan Ingram, Drew Ferwalt and Gabriel Ferwalt; great-nieces, Emily Hussey, Marley Ingram and Madeline Paradis; two sisters-in-law, Mrs. Mildred Hyatt and Mrs. Margaret Cillessen, both of Coffeyville and many other nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband Raymond on July 17, 1984. The Rosary will be recited at 7:30 pm on Thursday evening, November 9, 2006 and the Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, November 10, 2006 both at the Holy Name Catholic Church. Father Jerome Spexarth will officiate and burial will follow in the Calvary Cemetery in Coffeyville. Services are under the direction of Penwell-Gabel Ford-Wulf-Bruns Funeral Service of Coffeyville. Friends may call on Wednesday from 9 am until 9 pm and Thursday 9 am until 5 pm at the funeral home to sign the guest book. The family will greet friends at the church just before the Rosary.
