Mary Rhinehart

Mary E. Rhinehart, age 92, longtime Coffeyville resident, passed away Friday, April 8, 2011 at Windsor Place in Coffeyville. Mrs. Rhinehart was born April 17, 1918 in Nowata, Oklahoma, the daughter of Robert and Mary Cagle Manley. The family moved to Coffeyville when Mary was young and Mary attended Coffeyville Public Schools. On December 7, 1935, she married Roy Rhinehart a local barber in Coffeyville, Mr. Rhinehart preceded her in death. Mary was employed as a Nurses Aide at Coffeyville Memorial Hospital, retiring after 28 years. Mrs. Rhinehart was an active member of Emanuel Southern Baptist Church. Her hobbies included flowers, embroidery work and reading. Mary is survived by her children: Ann Herb Findley of Coffeyville, John Rhinehart of Claremore, OK, Gary Rhinehart of Tulsa, OK and Tom Rhinehart of Broken Arrow, OK. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 32 greatgrandchildren and 5 greatgreatgrandchildren as well as nieces and nephews. Mary will lie in state from 12:00 noon until 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 12th at the chapel. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 11 a.m. at PenwellGabel FordWulfBruns Chapel. Interment will follow at Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Coffeyville. The family suggests memorials to Emmanuel Southern Baptist Church or Harry Hynes Hospice and may be left at the funeral home.
