Mary Roberts

Mary Ruth Roberts, 92, of Coffeyville, Kansas died Friday, November 27, 2009 at Windsor Place Nursing Home in Coffeyville. She was born March 30, 1917 in Parsons, Kansas to Eugene Lant and Hazel Green Lant. She married John Lee Roberts of Severy, Kansas on August 16, 1937 at Idaho Springs, Colorado. Mary was a wonderful homemaker and was very involved in her church as well as the Eastern Star. She loved her involvement with Poinsettia sales to benefit Hospice. Survivors include daughter Gayle Lank of Coffeyville, son David Roberts of Huntsville, Alabama, sister Alberta Addis of Yukon, Oklahoma, 4 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Mary Ruth Roberts will be held at 1:00p.m. on Tuesday, December 1, 2009 at Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home in Coffeyville. Interment will follow on Wednesday, December 2, at Bushton Cemetery in Bushton, Kansas. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 11:00a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
