Mrs. Mary Jane Swigart, 65, and former Coffeyville resident, died Friday at her home in Grove, Oklahoma. Mary Jane Swigart was born September 11, 1942 at Ft. Smith, Arkansas, the daughter of Bob Harrison and Margaret Casteel Harrison. She grew up the Sedan and Havana, Kansas area and was a graduate of Independence, Kansas High School. She also attended and graduated from Independence Community College. Along with her husband the couple owned and operated S. amp; W. Sales, retiring in 1998. After retirement, she moved to Grove, Oklahoma to reside at the lake. She was a member of the Church of the Nazarene in Vinita, Oklahoma. On June 16, 1966 at Nowata, Oklahoma, she was united in marriage to John L. Vowell and the couple were later
orced. On April 19, 1977 at Miami, Oklahoma, she was united in marriage to Gary V. Swigart and he survives at the home. Additonal survivors include: 6 sons, Jerry Swigart and his wife, Penny of The Woodlands, Texas, Bill Corle of Wichita, Gary Swigart, Jr. and his wife Kim of Coffeyville, Kansas, Gregory Vowell and his wife Angela of Coffeyville, Tony Vowell and his wife Brandi of Nowata, Oklahoma; 3 daughters, Joy Anderson and her husband Darrell of Columbus, Nebraska, Judy Webb and her husband Bradd of Emmitt, Idaho, and Stacey Rogers and her husband Scott of Coffeyville; 23 grandchildren; and 13 great grandchildren; and a brother, John Wilson of Afton, Oklahoma. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Patricia Fritz. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 29, 2008 at the First Church of the Nazarene of Coffeyville , Kansas with the Reverend David Stevens of the Church of the Nazarene in Vinita, Oklahoma, officiating. Interment will be at Penwell-Gabels Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 12 noon until 9:00 p.m. on Monday. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Monday.
