Matthew Lee Countryman

It is with great sadness that we announce a beloved son, brother and grandson Matthew Lee Countryman passed away unexpectedly at the age of 27 on Sunday, February 16, 2025 at his home. 

Larry L Countryman Jr. and Stephanie Mitchell welcomed Matthew into this world on December 21, 1997 in Coffeyville, Kansas. Matthew grew up in Coffeyville with where he attended school and he was a graduate of Field Kindley Memorial High School. 

Matthew has had several places of employment working as a laborer in foundry and warehouse positions. He was currently unemployed and filled his time doing things he enjoyed such as working on cars, hunting, fishing or simply hanging out with his friends or family. 

Matthew leaves behind his parents Larry L Countryman Jr. and Stephanie Mitchell, brother Dylan Countryman, sister Ashley Countryman, maternal grandfather Kenneth Mitchell, and paternal grandmother Darlene Inman. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather Larry L. Countryman Sr. and maternal grandmother Clara Mitchell.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, February 26, 2025 at 10:30am at Ford-Wulf-Bruns Chapel, 2405 Woodland Ave., Coffeyville with Pastor Boyd Hamlin officiating. Matthew will be laid to rest in Fairview Cemetery near his grandfather Larry L. Countryman Sr..
