Obituary Mattie C. Sanford Coffeyville resident Mattie C. Sanford died on Saturday, December 30, 2006 in Coffeyville. She was 74. Mattie was born October 13, 1932 in Green County Arkansas to Claude and Luevada Ketchum Lewis. She married Vaughn L. Sanford in Nowata, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death September 16, 1991. She is survived by daughter Mattie Louise and husband Jim Gibson of Michigan; son David and wife Sue Sanford of South Coffeyville; a son Mike and wife Peggy Sanford of Coffeyville and daughter Karen and husband Tim Smith of Coffeyville. There are 12 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren and many many friends. She was preceded in death by her Parents, husband Vaughn, son Steven. Several brothers and sisters. She enjoyed cooking, crafts, old time fiddlers and writing books and songs. Graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm Thursday, January 4, 2007 in Fairview Cemetery. Pastor Richard Peckman will officiate. Services are under the direction of the Penwell-Gabel Ford-Wulf-Bruns Funeral Home of Coffeyville.
