Maurine Marguerite Ross, 93, Coffeyville, KS died Friday, April 23, 2010 at Windsor Place Care Center of Coffeyville. Maurine was born November 21, 1916 at Bolton, Kansas to Henry W. Loh and Lessie E. Lindley Loh. She grew up in Bolton and began her education, there. Maurine attended high school in Independence, KS. She married Marion L. Ross on November 2, 1935 at Neodesha, KS. Mr. Ross preceded his wife on March 14, 1978. Maurine has been a resident of Coffeyville since 1937. She worked as a clerk for NuWay Foodliner, retiring in 1981. Maurine was a member of Bolton Friends Church, AARP and Helping Hands E.H.U.. She was an avid quilter. She is survived by a daughter, Janine Ross of Coffeyville one son, David Ross of Coffeyville one sister, Doris J. Foudray of Seattle, Washington two grandchildren, David Ross and Amy Ballou and her husband, Jason, all of Vermont a greatgranddaughter, Elizabeth Ballou, also of Vermont and a greatnephew, Eric Wilson of Wichita, KS. Maurine was preceded in death by her husband and parents and by a sister, Erma Strader. Funeral service will be 2 p.m., Tuesday, April 27, 2010 at PenwellGabel FordWulfBruns Chapel with Pastor Brendt Wills officiating. Interment will follow in Harrisonville Cemetery, northwest of Tyro, KS under the direction of PenwellGabel Funeral Home amp Crematory, Coffeyville. Visitation will be Monday, 18 p.m., with the family receiving guests from 68 p.m. Donations to the Bolton Friends Church or Eagle Rock Ministries and may be left with the funeral home.
