Maxine O. Lightstone 1918 2006 Maxine O. Lightstone, age 87, died Sunday evening July 9, 2006 at Windsor Place Nursing Home Coffeyville, Kansas of natural causes. She was born October 31, 1918 to Corinne Yates amp; Max G. Oliver in Forney, Texas. Raised in the Army, she attended schools in U.S. including Hawaii and the Phillipines. She graduated from Highland Park High School in Dallas, Texas. She graduated from the University of Illinois in 1939. On October 14, 1940 she married Harry HalLightstone in Hannibal, Missouri. They lived in Chicago until 1946, where she was a school teacher. They moved to Coffeyville in 1946 where she worked for the city from 1952-1968. Her husband Hal, who was retired from Funk Manufacturing preceded her in death May 10, 1981. Mrs. Lightstone was a member of the St. Pauls Episcopal Church, Chi Omega Sorority, VFW Auxiliary, American Legion Auxiliary, Past member of Round Table Study Club, AAUW. She is survived by 4 nephews, Larry Lightstone of Manchester, Missouri, Bob Lightstone of Solomnons, Maryland, Bill Lightstone of Carbondale, Colorado, Steve Lightstone of Shawnee Mission, Kansas. 1 niece, Liz Lightstone, Alameda, California. 4 grand nephews, 4 grand nieces, 6 great grand nephews and nieces. Also surviving are several cousins from the Yates family living in Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents. Her body will lie in state on Thursday, July 13, 2006 from 9:00 a.m. - 9:00 p.m. and Friday July 14, 2006 from 9:00 a.m. - 9:00 p.m at the Penwell-Gabel Ford-Wulf-Bruns Chapel, 2405 Woodland Ave., Coffeyvillle, Ks. 67337. Funeral Services will be held 2:00 p.m., Saturday, July 15, 2006 at the St. Pauls Episcopal Church, Coffeyville, KS. Fr. Jerry Adinolfi will be presiding. Burial will follow in the Fairview Cemetery, Coffeyville, Kansas. in lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial contributions be made to St. Pauls Episcopal Church, Coffeyville Public Library, or Avenue of Flags.
