May Louise Armentrout 1914 2007 May Louise Armentrout, 93, of Coffeyville entered into eternal rest on Friday, May 18, 2007 in Coffeyville, Kansas. May was born January 4, 1914 in Westmoreland, Kansas to Bert and Nellie Whearty Hough. She attended schools in Fostoria, Kansas, graduating from Fostoria High School in 1932. After her education in Fostoria, she worked as an undergraduate nurse at the hospital in Hardtner, Kansas for six years. It was there she met Fred Armentrout. They were wed on March 23, 1949 in Wichita, Kansas. They moved to Coffeyville where Mr. Armentrout was a pharmacist at Bernhart Pharmacy and after several years, he retired from Plaza Pharmacy. May was a homemaker and spent her days doing crochet work and making quilt tops. She is survived by two sisters, Evelyn Repp of Abilene, Kansas and Alice Cutright of Topeka, Kansas; one step-daughter, Suzanne Mitchell of Tyler, Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Fred Armentrout; three sisters, Grace Moss, Lois Stouffer and Edna Howell; and brother, Howard Hough. Graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, May 22, 2007 at Penwell-Gabels Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery. Pastor Mike Graham will officiate.
