May Wright

May Belle Wright, 90, of Coffeyville, Kansas, died Wednesday, March 17, 2010 at Windsor Place Care Center. May Belle was born January 11, 1920 at Coffeyville to Clarence Sprague and Louisa Frank Sprague. She was a lifelong resident of Coffeyville, receiving her education in the Coffeyville Schools. May Belle married to Harland Wright on May 4, 1937 at Coffeyville. Mr. Wright preceded his wife in death June 19, 2005. She was a member of the Lewark Church of God and was a Sunday school teacher there. She was also a director of the children39s church for 50 years. Survivors include two sons, LinfordLinny Wright and his wife, Nancy of Coffeyville, Frank E.Gene Wright and his wife, Linda of Overland Park, Kansas three daughters, Shirley Harris and husband, Jack of Quapaw, Oklahoma, Darlene Bates and her husband, Harry of Coffeyville and PatriciaPat Crittenden and her husband, James of Siloam Springs, Arkansas two brothers, Franklin and Lewis Sprague of Coffeyville sisters: Ida LouiseDutchie Tosh and Phyllis Hall, both of Coffeyville and 21 grandchildren 36 greatgranchildren and 5 greatgreatgrandchildren. She was preceded in death by both parents by her husband by sisters, Juanita Todd, Martha Lee Maggard and Nadine Slayton and Angeline Sprague brother, Bryson Sprague and 2 grandsons, Tony Wright and Jerry Wayne Harris. Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 20, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at Lewark Church of God with Rev. J.D. Wright officiating. Interment will be in Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of PenwellGabel FordWulfBruns Chapel. Visitation will be Friday, March 19, 2010 from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home and memorial contributions can be made to Lewark Church of God in care of PenwellGabel Funeral Home.
