Melanie Jane Hamlin, 52, passed away at 12:40 p.m. on January 18, 2024, in Chandler, AZ. 

Melanie’s husband and 2 boys were at her side. She battled metastatic breast cancer for 2 years. Melanie was raised in Aurora, Co. and attended Ozark Christian College in Joplin, Mo. where she met her husband, Boyd. Melanie served her Lord alongside her husband in their ministries in Tulsa, Ok., Amarillo, Tx. and Rio Rancho, NM. Melanie spent 12 years as a Quality Manager with Bank of America in NM and 3 years with James River Insurance Company in AZ. 

Melanie was born to Melvin and Sandra (Jacob) Harp on September 23,1971. Melanie married Boyd A. Hamlin on August 1st, 1992. 

Melanie is survived by husband, 2 sons, Collin (Stefani) Hamlin and grandson, Asher Waid; Cody (Brianna) Hamlin and soon, a granddaughter, Chloe Jane. Parents, Melvin & Sandra Harp, 2 brothers, Charles (Llana), Chris (Tammy), 2 sisters, Caren (Mark) Hardison, Gail Seitz, Boyd’s parents, Gene & Bev Hamlin, brother-in-law, Darin (Kay) Hamlin, numerous nephews and nieces. 

A Memorial service will be held on April 20, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. at Westside Christian Church, 402 N Ohio St, Coffeyville, Ks 67337. Following the memorial service, a fellowship with Melanie’s family will also be held at Westside Christian Church. A family graveside service will follow at Mount Hope Cemetery in Independence.
