Melody A. Richey Melody Ann Richey of Caney, Kansas, died Saturday evening at her home. She was 51. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 4, 2007, at the Tyro Christian Church under the direction of Penwell-Gable Ford-Wulf-Bruns Funeral Home. David Bycroft, evangelist, will officiate. Interment will be in Sunnyside Cemetery in Caney. The casket has been closed. Friends may call at the funeral home to register on Monday from 4-9 p.m. The daughter of Garland and Loretta Bell Waite Robbins, Melody was born June 20, 1956, in Coffeyville, KS. She grew up in Caney and graduated from Caney Valley High School in 1974. She was united in marriage to Bill Richey on October 19, 1974, in Caney, KS. He survives at the home. Melody was a homemaker and an aide at Lincoln Elementary School in Caney. She was a member of Tyro Christian Church where she and her husband were sponsors of Sunday Night Adventure Club. In addition to her husband, she is survived by one son, William Anthony Richey and his wife Ryann of Bixby, OK; two daughters, Taressa Lynn Richey of the home, and Katelyn Ann Brown and her husband, Clint of Webb City, MO; four brothers, David Robbins and his wife Sherry of Bartlesville, OK, Rick Robbins of Caney, Mark Robbins and his wife Alycia of Wayside, KS, and Jim Robbins and his wife Julie of Caney; two sisters, Mary Dale Robbins of Bartlesville, OK, and Donna Comstock and her husband Gary of Bartlesville. She is preceded in death by her parents, one sister, Sherry Ann Robbins, and one brother, Michael Dean Robbins. Memorials in her memory can be given to Harry Hynes Hospice. They may be left at the funeral home.
