Merle Bracken

Merle Lemoin Bracken 1930 - 2006 Merle Lemoin Bracken, age 75, entered into rest on Saturday, June 10, 2006 at the Medical Lodge Nursing Center, Coffeyville, Kansas. He was born September 3, 1930 in Labette County to Clem Henry Bracken and Elsie L. Seaton Bracken. The family lived in Labette County area, Wichita, Kansas during WWII and later Liberty, Kansas. Mr. Bracken was drafted into the United States Marine Corp. February 28, 1952. Merle was a member of the Liberty Methodist Church, Liberty, Ks. He was a farmer in Montgomery County community. He also worked for Sunflower Bowl downtown Coffeyville. He married Ruby P. Niblack on May 27, 1982. She preceded in death January 20, 2002. Survivors include: 4 brothers, Leon Bracken, Duncan, Ok.; Wayne Bracken, San Miquel,Ca.; Ivan Bracken, Coffeyville, Ks.; Gary Bracken, Ringling, Ok. 2 sisters, Orpha Dosh, Dewey, Ok.; Virginia Gaswint, Clarkston, Wa. He was also preceded in death by parents. VisitationCalling hours: Mr. Bracken will lie in state from 1:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m., Monday, June 12, 2006 at the Penwell-Gabel Ford-Wulf-Bruns Chapel, 2405 Woodland Ave., Coffeyville, KS 67337. Graveside services will be held 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, June 13, 2006 at the Spring Hill Cemetery, N. of Coffeyville, Kansas.
