Michael E Marlow age 72 of Coffeyville, passed away on March 15, 2017 at St Francis Via Christi Hospital in Wichita.
Mike was born on September 12, 1944 in Coffeyville to Harry and Betty (Strimple) Marlow. He attended school in Coffeyville and graduated from Labette County High School. After high school Mike enlisted with the United States Navy, where he devoted 21 years of faithful service. He was united in marriage to Elizabeth Cox she preceded him in death in 1999. To this union the couple was blessed with six children.
After the passing of Elizabeth Mike started dating Patricia Polk and the couple was married on July 29, 2000. Mike loved watching sports, from basketball to swimming, especially if his kids or grandkids were playing. Mike went to every game or meet that they were playing in no matter how far he had to travel or how much it cost. People probably wanted to run every time he pulled his phone out to show them a picture of one of his kids or grandkids and how proud he was of them because they were, undoubtedly, the BEST at whatever they did . He also knew statistical information on every athlete.
Mike also enjoyed traveling; he and Patricia traveled all of the states except 7 and traveled much of Europe. Mike was outgoing, loving, always complementary, and will always be remembered by his kind and generous nature; helping out when he could.
Those left to cherish his memory are, his wife; Patricia, sons; Michael Marlow Jr, Sam Marlow, Patrick Marlow, Edward Polk his wife Jill, daughters; Michele Marlow, Davida Laughter her husband Derick, Trinity Barton her husband Brian, Lori Bromley her husband Michael, Becky Overton her husband Kolby, bother; David Marlow his wife Becky, sister; Michele Carter her husband Don, grandchildren, Gage Griffin, Spencer Barton, Malachi Hise, Joshua Bromley, Matthew Bromley, Caleb Bromley, Colton Hambleton, Tabitha Galloway, Elise Owens, Becca Crump, Kamryn Holstein, McKennah Wood, Taylor Marlow, Amara Griffin, Whitley Verratti, Nichole Polk, and Courtney Hambleton, and 6 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, Phillip Marlow.
