Mildred Dick

Mildred O. Dick age 100 of Coffeyville passed away on Tuesday, December 23, 2014 at Asbury Village.

Funeral services for Mildred will be held on Monday, December 29, 2014 at the FordWulfBruns Chapel at 10:00 am, with Larry Wilkes of Coffeyville Bible Church officiating. Committal services will be held at the Veterans Patio following the service with burial at Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday, December 28, 2014 from 24 at FordWulfBruns Chapel. A special message can be left on the funeral home web site www.fordwulfbrunschapel.com

Mildred was born on July 29, 1914 in Le Hunt, Kansas to Charles F. Palmer and Leona E. Long Palmer. She attended school in Independence, Kansas graduating from Independence High School in 1934. She was active in the Drum and Bugle Corps. In February of 1937 she married Harold S. Rogers the couple later divorced of that union one daughter was born Sandra. On November 28, 1940 she married James G. Dick he preceded her in death on June 6, 1981. Mildred was a member of the Coffeyville Bible Church active in the Independence Garden Club, Quo Vadis White Shrine 14, Past Worthy MatronEastern Star Eva Chapter 18 O.B.S Independence. She was employed by Coffeyville Regional Medical Center for sixteen years until her retirement in 1970 then working part time at the Natural Food Center for sixteen years retiring in 1986. Mildred was a resident of Dearing, Kansas for over 58 years.

She is survived by her daughter, Sandra Jenkins and husband Odell of Dearing, Kansas sister, Edith Hunter of Bullhead City, Arizona and a host of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles F. and Leona E. Palmer husbands, Harold S. Rodgers, and James G. Dick son, Richard Dick sister, Charlotte Schmoll and granddaughter, Diane Hultz
