Mildred May Zimmer 1925 - 2006 Mildred May Zimmer, age 81, Coffeyville, Kansas resident passed away on March 16, 2006 at the Coffeyville Regional Medical Center, Coffeyville, Kansas. She was born February 4, 1925 to Ralph and Ella Robertson Smith in South Coffeyville, Oklahoma. She attended school in the South Coffeyville community. On May 24, 1941 she married Glenn M. Zimmer in Coffeyville, Kansas. He preceded her in death March 10, 1995. They moved to Hayward, California in 1964. Mrs. Zimmer attended a local College, where she received a degree as a Dietician. She became a Dietician Supervisor where she founded Meals on Wheels for the Elderly. They later moved back to Coffeyville in 1986 after they had both retired. Memberships included: Lewark Church of God, VFW Womens Aux. Post 1022, American Legions Womens Aux. Post 20. She is survived by: 2 daughters, Connie Manso de Sousa, Bartlesville, Ok.; Tammie Gowin Scott, San Ramon, Ca.; 4 sons, Glenn Zimmer, Jr. Paula, Coffeyville, Ks.; Michael Zimmer Lynn, Union City, Ca.; Timothy Zimmer Kathy, Coffeyville, Ks.; Anthony Zimmer Adrienne, Danville, Ca. 3 sisters, Audrine, Delores and Sandra Kay; 4 brothers, Edgar, Buddie, Melvin and Chester. 25 grandchildren, 38 great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her parents, one daughter, Glenda May Jimenez, eight brother and sisters. Calling hoursvisitation will be held on Monday, March 20, 2006 from 1:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at the Penwell-Gabel, Ford-Wulf-Bruns Chapel, 2405 Woodland Ave., Coffeyville, Kansas 67337. Family will receive friends from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Monday evening at the Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, March 21, 2006 at 11:00 a.m., at the Penwell-Gabel, Ford-Wulf-Bruns Chapel.
