Monica “Tillie” Otillia Adame of Tulsa, Oklahoma, previously a resident of the Coffeyville, Kansas passed away on Friday, March 20, 2020, at Coffeyville Regional Medical Center.
Tillie was a selfless person, a loving mother to her two daughters, they were her world. She was truly dedicated to their every need and did an amazing job with them. She had a beautiful spirit that reflected her outward appearance. Her smile was and would light up the room. She was a loving daughter, and amazing daughter and a very proud aunt.
Monica Otillia Adame was born on February 20, 1991, to Edward Victor Adame and Dixie Kay Jones in Coffeyville, Kansas. Monica was known by her parents, her seven siblings and friends as Tillie. Tillie’s family moved to Kansas City, Missouri where she completed her education. In early adulthood she moved back to the Tulsa area. She worked at Medicalodge in Coffeyville as a dietary aide, she loved to cook and especially baking delicious baked goods. She was a dedicated worker. Most recently she worked as a sandwich artist for Subway. She loved people and loved to just visit with everyone.
sinE chathla “Red Bird” was her Euchee name, she was very proud of her Euchee heritage and active in tribal traditions. Full burial rites will be provided by her family and tribe. She was princess in Kansas City, Missouri. She loved to collect JoJo bows for her girls, the bigger the better; she wouldn't take the girls out without their hair being perfect and adorned with a bow.
Tillie’s memories will live on through her daughters, Olivia Otillia and Rosalynn Rainia Velasco, their father, Christopher Joel Velasco; her mother, Dixie Jones; father, Edward Victor Adame; siblings, Joshua Bruce, Christopher Bruce-Jones and his wife Jenna Bemore, Johonna Jones, Kay Merrill and her husband Raymond, Felicia Adame, Letticia Adame, Nancy Adame; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews as well as friends. She was preceded in death by, maternal grandparents, Jesse Sr. and Sharon Jones, paternal grandparents Miguel Adame, Otillia Rivera, step paternal grandparent, Ruben Rivera; Tio Miguel Adame; uncle, Roy Jones and cousin, Jonathon Jones.
A private family service will be held where she will receive a traditional Euchee burial, under the direction of Ford-Wulf-Bruns Chapel, Pastor Eli McHenry will officiate. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery. Tillie’s family has requested memorial contributions to be made for her children’s education fund that will be established.
