Myron W. Long 1922 2005 Myron W. Long, age 82, Coffeyville Kansas resident passed away early Saturday, May 28, 2005 at the Pickwick Apartments in Coffeyville. He was born on November 25, 1922 in Coffeyville, Kansas to Benjamin Harrison and Donna Ruth Purdy Long. He was born and raised in Coffeyville community. He attended Coffeyville Elementary Schools. He was a 1940 graduate of Field Kindley Memorial High School amp; McFarland Trade School in Coffeyville. He served in the US Army during WWII in the Southern Pacific Theatre. On July 7, 1946 he married Frances Blome at the Emmanuel Southern Baptist Church in Coffeyville, Kansas. He was employed with Acme Foundry in the Machine Shop Department amp; Robinson Packer Company as a Machinist. He also was owneroperator of Russell Motel for 13 years all of Coffeyville. Past Memberships include: Emmanuel Southern Baptist Church, Central Baptist Church, Bible Baptist Church. Mr. Long was currently a member of the First Southern Baptist Church all of Coffeyville. His hobbies included: camping, traveling, board games, cards and most of all spending time with his family and friends. He is survived by his wife, Frances Long of the home in Coffeyville. 4 sons: Ron Linda Long, Coffeyville Rick Alice Long, So. Coffeyville Randy Patty Long, So. Coffeyville Don Rhonda Long, Springfield, Mo. 1 daughter, Jennifer Ron Ray, Coffeyville 13 Grandchildren, Dion Alyson Long, Tammy Greg Cox, Melissa Cornett, Mike Alexander, Angela Mark McRay, Kimberlee Justin George, Rickie Amanda Long, Rhonda Long, Robby Angie Long, Rachel Dustin Barrett, RoyceAnne Micah Stringfield, Rebekah Long, Josh Long. 15 great-grandchildren, Eric, Matthew, Alyssa, Austin, Dylan, Kayanna, Alexis, Kaitlynn, Emily, Rayna, Samantha, Lexie, Micah, William and Chasity. 2 step-grandchildren, Lisa Russell Tomey, Randy Ray. 4 Step-great-grandchildren, Matthew, Megan, Phaelan, Elyssa. One brother, Wayne Vera Lou Long, Coffeyville. He was preceded in death by his parents. Memorial Services will be held 2:00 p.m., Saturday, June 4, 2005 at the First Southern Baptist Church, Coffeyville. Rev. Richard Jenkins will be officiating. Inurnment will take place at a later time. Memorial contributions may be given to Harry Hynes Hospice or First Southern Baptist Church co Penwell-Gabel Ford-Wulf-Bruns Chapel, 2405 Woodland Ave., Coffeyville, KS. 67337. There will be no calling hours at the Funeral Home.
