Nancy Gurley

Nancy Sue Gurley age 64, of Coffeyville passed away on December 2, 2016 at Coffeyville Regional Medical Center.

Nancy was born in Coffeyville on March 31, 1952 to James and Gloria Dodson. She attended schools in Coffeyville. After high school she found employment as a certified nurse's aide for Windsor Place and later as a checker for Country Mart. Nancy was a charter member of the Word of Faith Church and loved her church family dearly. She enjoyed helping with church dinners, Tuesday bible study and Saturday Night Alive Group. She was a great cook, and brightened everybody's day that came in contact with her, always offering the best hugs.

Those left to honor her memory are her husband Luby Alton Gurley, daughter Lisa Castro Gurley, step children, Alton Gurley, Jose Gurley, MaPilar Gurley Franken, Elizabeth Gurley, and 10 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Lee and Jimmy, Previous spouse Rayford Gurley and daughter Christina.

Memorial Services honoring her life will be held on December 16, 2016 at Word of Faith Church, 2707 S. Walnut, Coffeyville, Kansas at 10:00 am. Lunch to go will be provided for the family and church family willing follow the service. Inurnment will be at the Ft. Scott National Cemetery immediately following.
