Nancy Lipe

Nancy C. Wilkinson Lipe, daughter of Clifford and Lucille Robinson Wilkinson was born January 19, 1942 at Farber, Missouri. Nancy passed away December 18, 2009 at her home in Coffeyville, Kansas. Nancy grew up in the FarberVandalia area and was a 1960 graduate of Van-Far High School where she loved playing high school basketball. After high school, Nancy married Darrell Aderton and began a career that lasted many years in the banking business. The Adertons
orced and she later married, Jim Gose, at Miami, Oklahoma. Jim and Nancy lived several places including Bartlesville, Oklahoma and Phoenix, Arizona. Nancycowboyed and worked on ranches and feed lots with her husband, until his death in 1982. She moved to Coffeyville and did secretarial work for OK Oil and Midwest Mineral. She met and married her third husband, George Lipe and moved to Spavinaw, Oklahoma. After she and George
orced, Nancy moved back to Coffeyville, where she worked as a caregiver and nurses aide. She attended Holy Name Church. Nancy enjoyed the outdoors and loved horses and gardening. She was a loving and caring person. Her health did not allow her to do the things she wanted to, but always did more than she should. Nancy was the type of person who put herself last and everyone else in front. She will be truly missed by every person that knew her. She is survived by her aunt, Kathleen Lowe of Vandalia; a brother, Leroy Wilkinson and his wife, Ethel of Farber; one daughter, Kathy Hicks and her husband, Trapper of Welch, OK; a son, JJ Gose and his wife, Kim of Wann, OK; granddaughter, Dustina Chapman and her husband, Marcus; granddaughter, Lacey Barnett; grandsons, Jimmy Gose and Corey Barnett and his wife, Sara; one great-grandson, Jaden and one on the way, Bo; her Boston Bulldog, Barney; and her ornery horse, Rascal, who has been in the family for almost 30 years; other family and friends in Farber and Vandalia, Missouri and the Coffeyville area. A visitation will be held at Penwell-Gabel Ford-Wulf-Bruns Chapel in Coffeyville, 2-8pm, Monday, December 21, 2009 with family receiving guests from 6-8pm. Tuesday, Nancy will lie in state at Waters Funeral Home, Vandalia, Missouri from 2-7 pm, with family receiving guests from 5-7. Graveside service will be held 11 a.m., Wednesday, December 23, 2009 at Evergreen Memorial Cemetery in Vandalia with Waters Funeral Home officiating.
