Neva Bartel

Neva Jean Bartel 1923 - 2005 Neva Jean Bartel, age 82, Coffeyville, Kansas resident passed away on April 26, 2005 at the Asbury Village in Coffeyville. She was born February 17, 1923 in Drumright, Oklahoma Mrs. Bartel was part owner of Edgewood Lanes in Coffeyville with her husband Bud Bartel. Neva was a member of First Christian Church in Coffeyville. She enjoyed embroidery work and bowling. On September 3, 1945 she married Kermit Bud Frank Bartel in Clearwater, Kansas. Mr. Bartel preceded her in death on March 23, 2005; and one grandson John David McCartney in 1977. Mrs. Bartel is survived by: One daughter, Phyllis J. McCartney of Coffeyville, Kansas two granddaughters, Marsha Jean and Laura Beth McCartney. One sister, Cora Sue Seitsinger of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 30 at the Penwell-Gabel Ford-Wulf-Bruns Chapel, 2405 Woodland Ave., Coffeyville, Ks. Mrs. Bartel will lie in state Friday, April 29 from 8:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. Burial will follow in the Penwell-Gabel Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery of Coffeyville. Memorial contributions may be given to the American Diabetes Association or to the Alzheimers Association left in care of the funeral home.
